MJB Wood Group Expands Distribution Operations in the US and Mexico

MJB Wood Group Inc, announces plans to expand its distribution and sales locations in the U.S. with locations in Minnesota, Louisiana, Kentucky and North Carolina.
MJB will be opening distribution branches in the St. Paul/Minneapolis area, Louisville, Kentucky and Charlotte, North Carolina to support its customer base of OEM’s by December, 2011. Product offerings will include panel, components and specialty products into rail served distribution facilities and will offer a quick ship program stock items.
“We have had great success with our distribution facility in Elkhart, Indiana and want to duplicate this model to service accounts in the Midwest and South East,” said Jeff Messick, MJB’s Vice President of Sales. MJB’s operation in Simsboro, Louisiana, opening in November, 2011 will cater to cabinet and millwork shops in the South along with retail lumber yards in both full truckload and less than truckload shipments. Products will include hardwood lumber, hardwood plywood, panel products and architectural mouldings.
MJB Tableros Y Maderas, MJB Wood Group’s Mexican subsidiary is also expanding its Mexican operation with a new distribution facility in Merida, Mexico situated on the Yucatan Peninsula. “This new market,” says Juan Escobedo, President of MJB Tableros Y Maderas, “will allow us to expand the exceptional service MJB Tableros is so well known for to the Yucatan along with our expansive product offering of panel products and lumber.”
